The 2021 Vases are the culmination of my lifelong dream: to be able to make my drawings solid.
They come from a page in one of my old notebooks, specifically from October 28, 2021! Born from a single stroke of a blue fine-tip pen, they are now in 3D, printed in translucent blue, to respect the drawing as faithfully as possible.
Their material allows for reflections and variations in depth, just as the pen's ink would.
For now, three silhouettes have emerged from the notebook; they are designed to form a set, but they can stand alone if you wish.
The Extra Vases Triptych is the Final Boss of this Summer Collection. Three large vases, to be brought together to adorn your living room, or to be distributed throughout your home so you never lose sight of them. It's up to you.
Each vase is 3D printed then finished and prepared by hand.
